Outside- Love our Tranquil Suntrap

Helios Court Villa has a stunning outdoor space surrounding the 8m x 4m main pool plus half moon shaped paddling pool.  The deep end of the pool still allows the playing of volley ball which we greatly enjoy.

The quiet and private pool terrace is a gated and walled suntrap, protected from wind. There is a shaded pergola covering luxurious daybeds and a large stone drinks table. Two 4m Parasols give shade to the 6 comfortable sunbeds.

The shallow half-moon paddling pool can be separated from the main pool area for the safety of children. The pool can all be optionally heated to suit your needs in the cooler months (Perhaps May, September, October at £200 per week).

The Veranda facing the pool terrace provides ample outdoor dining space for six and there is a large gas fired bar-b-que. (gas is provided)

Under the other covered veranda at the front of the house is a little table and chairs ideal for morning coffee and another sofa to enjoy reading in the afternoon shade whilst listening to the Cicadas.

Upstairs on the sun terrace is a day bed to enjoy gathering for your morning coffee, the views to the sea, or the magnificent sunsets over sundowners. There is a large parasol here too and the day bed is designed to give you a little separation as a  further sunbathing rea.

Helios Court provides ample parking for numerous cars.

Bedrooms – Our Cool Sanctuary

The 3 air-conditioned bedrooms are arranged as a romantic Kingsize Master Suite with its ensuite shower room and 2 spacious twin bedded bedrooms. Each room has a capacious wardrobe and cavernous chest of drawers. There is a combination safe and a Hairdryer is provided in the master suite.

The two twin bedrooms share a large family bathroom with both a shower cubical and bath.

Optionally a cot can be provided and will fit in any of the bedrooms for our smallest visitors.

The Great Room – The Heart of our Home

At the heart of our villa is a large family space that provides ample indoor dining, a well equipped kitchen and a small seating area served with a TV allowing supervision of your small guests while preparing food.

Kitchen – Where delicious happens

Though compact our kitchen holds a surprising amount of modern equipment. This includes a gas cooker, with oven, a large fridge freezer, microwave, 4 slice toaster, kettle, cafetiere, blender, juicer etc. There are ample cooking pots and serving dishes as well as table and glass wear. With time and such fresh local ingredients to fall in love with, you might be tempted to prepare something extraordinary!

We provide a welcome pack for your arrival of basic provisions but please let us know if you would like us to provide more extensive shopping on your behalf or indeed if you would like to be catered for during your stay on a particular evening or longer period.

Upstairs “Chill Out” Sitting Room

The luxurious, light-filled, sitting room upstairs is separate enough from the downstairs as to not disturb the bedrooms. Comfortable sofas are arranged around a large table, ideal for playing the range of games stored with a surprising number of modern books to delight the readers of your party are in the book case.

Here you will find an audio system to play your choice of music. There is a 50″ LCD SmartTV upstairs with a Blueray Player. The TV supports popular English language services via Netfix and Amazon accounts.

Childrens Facilities – We built our villa so parents could relax too!

We can, upon request provide separation of the main pool area from the shallow half-moon paddling pool. Care should of course be exercised but this gave us comfort with toddlers. We can also provide stairgates, a baby changing mat, high chair, hand held blender, baby listener and even a baby sitter! All the terraces are high enough to contain a child and the columns are spaced for safety.

We found most villas fairly fraught with dangers for young families and designed ours with the lessons learned from years of such holidays and with the owners’ experience as a qualified child care professional.
In the square near the villa is a small childrens playground.

Towels

We provide both Bathroom and Pool towels which are changed midweek. Please bring beach towels should you wish to us them.

Cot bedding

We do not provide baby linen for hygiene reasons.

Accessibility – for your needs and as a basis for multi-generation holidays

There is a parking space by the gate to the pool terrace allowing paved access directly to the pool area. We have a ramp available to allow access to the dining veranda. This has been used to park a mobility scooter in the past. Only a small lip separates the veranda from the downstairs of the villa which is sized to accommodate a wheel chair. The Master Suites’ shower is lipless and will facilitate access. Please inform us though if you require a shower chair. The toilet facilities do not however have grab handles etc. The road down to the beach can be negotiated by wheel chair but thought should be given to pushing a wheelchair back uphill to Helios Court. Successful holidays have been enjoyed by both rather elderly and visitors with limited mobility.

Car Hire

We recommend Arillas Car Hire should you feel you need a car for your stay.
We regularly don’t hire a car for our trips but we are a family that enjoys walking and our children are of an age where they don’t need to be carried any more. The main beach is only 1500m (under a mile away) but if you have elderly relatives, toddlers in pushchairs or its 40 degrees C then you might want to consider this option. Car hire is available quite reasonably on a day rate basis in Arillas as are dune buggies, quadbikes, bicycles, etc. to suit all pockets.
Be aware there is quite a steep slope for 100 Metres of the 1500m walk.

Smoking

Helios Court Villa is a strictly non-smoking accommodation.

Stag and Hen groups

No. Never. Arillas isn’t that kind of place.
